Spearheading The Searle Company Ltd
Founded in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1888 by Gideon Daniel Searle, and incorporated in Pakistan as a Private Limited Company in October 1965, The Searle Company Limited was acquired by International Brand Limited (IBL) in November 1993 and is now a part of IBL, commanding the leading position in many consumer categories.
The Searle Pakistan (Pvt) Limited has acquired the manufacturing facility in S.I.T.E. where production of Aldactone, Lomotil, Diodoquin, Ovulen, Neomycin Sulphate, Probanthine and Hydryllin was started.
Over the years the manufacturing operations expanded and the construction of a new plant started in 1984. In mid-1986 manufacturing operations of pharmaceutical products commenced at this newly built factory on Plot # F-319, S.I.T.E. Area, Karachi, measuring 5.24 acres. On November 14th, the company was converted into a Public Limited Company as The Searle Company Limited (TSCL).
In 2013, Searle acquired the state-of-the-art Biological Plant from Nextar in the Port Qasim Area of Karachi and filed for USFDA approval for the manufacture of Biosimilars. Over 5 years Searle has achieved extensive globalization and registered with regulatory authorities of many European and African Countries.
